What Is EmbryoGlue?

EmbryoGlue is not a substance that physically glues the embryo to the uterus, but rather a specialized laboratory solution used during embryo transfer.

This transfer medium is enriched with a component called hyaluronan. Before being placed into the uterus, the selected embryo is taken into this special solution under controlled laboratory conditions.The aim of the EmbryoGlue application is to support the environment in which the embryo is placed during transfer and to help create favorable conditions for its initial contact with the uterine lining.

How Is EmbryoGlue Applied?

The application is a brief laboratory stage added to the standard embryo transfer process.

    Evaluation of the Embryo

    On the day of transfer, the development characteristics of the embryos are assessed by expert embryologists, and the embryo to be transferred is selected.
  2. 02

    Placing into the Transfer Medium

    The selected embryo is kept in the special EmbryoGlue solution containing hyaluronan under controlled conditions before the transfer.
  3. 03

    Embryo Transfer

    The embryo, along with the transfer solution, is drawn into a thin catheter and placed into the uterus by the doctor under ultrasound guidance.
Does the Patient Undergo Any Additional Procedure? No. The use of EmbryoGlue does not require any additional injections for the patient, a different procedure applied to the uterus, or extra anesthesia.

Who Is EmbryoGlue Suitable For?

EmbryoGlue is not a mandatory application for every patient. The decision to use it is made by the doctor and embryology team after a joint evaluation.
