Working as a Molecular Biologist in a Covid-19 laboratory during the pandemic, I used real-time PCR techniques.

Assisting the senior embryologist, I gained experience in oocyte retrieval, sperm preparation, embryo culture medium preparation, laboratory solutions and laboratory procedures and documentation and record keeping of results.

Prepared smear tests at the microscopic stage, assisted doctors during macroscopic sample preparation and recorded patient data.

Hands-on experience in DNA/RNA isolation, RT-PCR techniques, gel electrophoresis and analysis. Observed the preparation and analysis of the SARS-CoV2 RT-PCR test in the COVID-19 laboratory during the pandemic.
